On May 6th, the horse completed a dirt trial over 1200m in positions of 6-6-6 while tracking along the rail with moderate pace. Four weeks ago, this horse performed poorly over a Happy Valley mile, jumping slowly and settling towards the rear. He made a mid-race move but was unable to close the gap and finished well-beaten. A recent barrier trial showed no improvement. Switching to Happy Valley over 1800m for his first attempt at this distance, he races without any additional weight. The increased distance is unfavorable, and despite drawing a reasonable barrier, he's considered to be having a trial run only.
