On May 8th, the horse completed a dirt trial over 1200m in sections of 3-3-4, settling comfortably and not fully extended. Six weeks ago, over the same distance, it ran respectably despite a slow start, finishing from behind with a strong late run, beaten three and a half lengths for sixth place. A subsequent barrier trial yielded an unremarkable performance. This time around, benefiting from a two-pound weight reduction but drawing a poor barrier, a hold-up tactic is anticipated. However, its finishing kick isn't expected to match rivals, presenting a disadvantageous situation, though the group’s overall time was relatively competitive and connections are still considering it a contender.
