On May 9th, this horse recorded (Happy Valley turf trial 1700m: 2-2-2-7), tracking the pace throughout all three sections and finishing strongly. On April 25th at Conghua (turf trial 1000m: 2-2-5), it stumbled at the start but settled in a good position before weakening towards the end. Another turf trial on April 8th (1000m: 1-2-4) saw a fast pace with the horse finishing fourth comfortably. On March 25th (turf trial 1000m: 4-3-4), it was urged three hundred meters out but showed no further improvement. Two months ago, in its last run over this same distance, it performed poorly, leading early and attempting to make a move in the middle stages, however faded badly. After a short break, it has completed four barrier trials without showing significant promise. The horse’s body weight has dropped thirty-one pounds. It will carry four pounds less this time but remains winless in four starts over this course and distance, with its rivals appearing strong. Despite drawing a favorable barrier, prospects appear limited.
