On May 12th, (dirt trial 1200m: running in positions 3-3-4 throughout), the horse maintained a reasonable pace despite traveling three or four wide. Three weeks ago, over a Happy Valley mile, it performed well, jumping slowly and settling towards the rear but finishing with a strong late run, beaten two and a half lengths for sixth place. A recent barrier trial showed acceptable form. Returning to racing, it will next contest a Happy Valley mile, carrying 16 pounds more this time. Although drawing a good barrier, a likely tactical approach is to settle back in the field; its finishing kick appears the strongest in the group. Trainer and jockey are working well together, however, the overall time difference within the class isn't favorable, with hopes limited to securing a placing.
