Two weeks ago, this horse delivered a strong performance over Sha Tin 1400m, jumping slowly and settling towards the rear before making a fast run in the final two sections. In a subsequent trial at Happy Valley mile, he will carry three pounds less this time. Although section times weren’t significantly slower than others, drawing a good barrier suggests a hold-up tactic again, with a strong finishing kick expected to be its greatest asset. The horse appears well positioned and connections are optimistic. Matthew Poon takes the ride, suggesting good synergy between horse and jockey, however the trainer/jockey combination isn't ideal.
