On May 9th, this horse completed a Happy Valley turf trial over 1200m (sections 7-8-7), hampered on the straight and finished towards the rear. Six weeks ago, in a Sha Tin turf mile race, the performance was poor; settled well but faded badly, finishing far back. A recent barrier trial revealed it is not keeping pace with others. Making its Happy Valley debut over a mile this time, the horse will carry three pounds more than its last start. The distance should suit and having drawn a favorable barrier, a hold-up strategy is expected. It possesses a strong finishing kick compared to rivals in the group, and appears well prepared for the race with improved condition, not to be underestimated.
