He finished third, beaten by one and a half lengths, demonstrating a high level of performance. In a subsequent trial at Happy Valley over a mile, this time carrying no additional weight and drawing a favorable barrier with the fastest section times amongst its group, it has advantageous conditions for an early lead. Based on relative ability, it is considered the strongest contender in this race.
