On May 23rd (Conghua turf trial 1200m: 7-7-7), the horse settled in a relaxed pace and was not fully extended. On May 13th (Conghua turf trial 1000m: 7-7-7) it had a light workout as a fitness test. Prior to April, this horse ran a respectable race on dirt over a mile, jumping slowly and settling towards the back with an even pace but finishing strongly. He was beaten three and a half lengths for fifth place. Following a long break, he has undergone two barrier trials without reaching peak condition. In its most recent trial over a Happy Valley mile, it benefits from a one-pound weight reduction this race and draws favorably. However, the times recorded by horses in the same group were not impressive. Expect a hold-up tactics but finishing kick is unlikely to be strong enough to challenge rivals; likely to finish mid-pack.
