On May 23rd (Conghua turf trial 1200m: 5-5-6), the horse ran relaxed and more smoothly than previous trials. On May 13th (Conghua turf trial 1000m: 3-5-6) it was slightly slow out of the gate and needed prompting, showing an unremarkable pace. On April 28th (Conghua turf trial 800m: 4-4-5), it settled in mid-division and ran freely. Prior to April, this horse underperformed over a Sha Tin 1400m race, slow from the jump and settling towards the rear, making a move in the middle stages but failing to close the gap. After a long break, the horse has completed three barrier trials without showing significant improvement. Switching to Happy Valley over 1200m for its debut at this distance, it won’t carry extra weight this time, and should be suited by the trip. However, drawing a poor barrier requires a trailing position, and its finishing kick is unlikely to match rivals, making its chances questionable."
