Two weeks ago, this horse ran a respectable race on the dirt over 1200m, jumping slowly and settling towards the rear but finishing with a strong run. He has since trialed on Sha Tin turf over 1400m and will carry an additional four pounds in this race. The plan is to settle back again, however, his finishing kick may not be sufficient against stronger opposition. The trainer-jockey combination hasn’t been ideal, though the horse has been recording good times in training.
