On May 22nd, the horse completed a dirt trial over 1200m (sections: 8-8-4), traveling wide throughout and showing a decent late surge after being urged in the final furlong. On May 12th, another dirt trial over 1200m saw it run on the outside for the entire distance, gradually improving its position. Five weeks ago, in a race over the same course and distance, it performed respectably despite a slow start and settling towards the rear. It finished third with a strong late run, beaten two and a half lengths. Two barrier trials have been completed with acceptable results. Having raced previously, this horse will carry three pounds less this time. With three wins already recorded at this distance and holding the best time amongst its group, a hold-up tactics are expected to highlight its finishing kick - which is the strongest in the field. The draw looks favorable, and based on relative ability, it appears competitive. Jockey is gaining familiarity with the horse's capabilities, trainer-jockey communication is good, and trackwork has been positive.
