Two weeks ago, this horse ran in a Happy Valley 1200m race and showed potential, leading early but failing to sustain the effort. He finished sixth, beaten three and a half lengths. A subsequent turf trial over 1400m saw him perform well without any weight reduction, with comparable times to his rivals; a hold-up tactics is expected given his strong finishing kick. Despite five previous losses at this distance, an outside barrier draw hasn't dampened confidence.
