Three weeks ago, this horse ran satisfactorily over a Happy Valley 1200m, settling in a good position tracking the leaders at a steady pace but unable to match the strong finish of Leading Spirit. He finished fifth, beaten two and a half lengths. Having trialed over Sha Tin's 1200m turf track more recently, he will carry one pound less this time; however, he has failed to place in three previous attempts at this distance. The plan is to settle towards the back of the field, but his finishing kick may not be strong enough to compete with rivals. While the overall sectionals for horses in this group were good, and drawing an inside barrier provides some advantage, a placing would not be surprising.
