On May 22nd (dirt trial 1050m: 6-5-5), the horse was a little slow to jump, switched rails outwards after 200m and showed willingness to chase. On May 9th (Happy Valley turf trial 1000m: 1-1-2) it set a fast pace throughout but was overtaken near the finish line. A dirt grass trial over 1000m at Conghua on April 28th saw it lead comfortably under restraint to the end. On April 17th (dirt trial 1050m: 1-1-1) it led along the rail, relaxed easily and quickened well to take control. Having started training in early March after arriving in Hong Kong, this horse has completed five trials this season showing improvement. It strides a little high but displays good early speed, suggesting distances of 1400m to a mile are suitable. However, being a young horse with strong fighting spirit, it could also perform well over shorter distances. Zac Purton remains committed as the primary rider and is optimistic about its debut performance, believing it has a chance to win."
