On March 13th (Conghua turf trial 1200m: 6-6-7), it responded to urging with a whip down the straight, yet lacked strong momentum. On April 25th (Conghua dirt trial 1000m: 6-7-8), it showed early weakness and fell well below its potential. November 26th’s turf trial over 1000m saw a slow start with little response from the rider. This is the horse’s debut run after arriving in Hong Kong last October, commencing training but sustaining a pelvic injury mid-December, resuming work in January. Four barrier trials have been undertaken this season without noticeable improvement; while exhibiting a low stride length, it lacks early speed and acceleration. Distance preference remains unknown, so this race serves as an initial assessment of its capabilities.
