On March 6th, a turf trial over 1000m saw the horse finish in positions 6-6-5, needing some urging to make ground. Three weeks ago, over the same distance, performance was reasonable; a slow jump led to settling towards the rear but showed a strong late run and finished within two lengths of the winner in sixth place. A recent barrier trial didn’t reveal much. This time, no weight reduction is applied which is unfavorable. Despite comparable times within the group, while the draw isn't bad, a likely tactic will be to settle towards the rear relying on a finishing kick. Trainer and jockey seem to have a good rapport, and the horse is showing improving form; a slow start is anticipated.
