On March 6th (turf trial 1600m: 5-6-4-6), the horse responded averagely with moderate urging. On May 9th (Happy Valley barrier trial 1700m: 6-6-6-8), he chased the leaders but lacked fluency in his stride. Two months ago, this horse ran a mediocre race over an extended Happy Valley mile, slow to jump and settled at the rear before making a mid-race effort, ultimately fading towards the finish. After a short break, two barrier trials haven’t yielded encouraging results. Making his debut after switching stables, he steps back to Sha Tin over 1400m this time with a five-pound weight reduction but an unfavorable outside draw; even if his trial times are comparable to others in the field, he is not considered a strong contender for this race.
