Three weeks ago, this horse performed satisfactorily over a Sha Tin 2000m race. He jumped slowly and settled towards the rear, making a mid-race move but failing to sustain it until the finish. Now stepping up to Sha Tin over 1800m with a four-pound weight increase, the distance is unfavorable and he will likely be held back. However, his finishing kick was not strong enough against rivals, and trainer/jockey combination wasn’t ideal. Despite drawing an advantageous inside barrier, connections have opted for Matthew Poon as the rider, who understands the horse's weaknesses.
