On March 13th, during a Conghua turf trial over 1600m (sections recorded as 2-2-2-4), the horse showed early speed, pushing and being urged throughout the straight to maintain pace. On May 30th, another Conghua turf trial over 1600m saw it travel smoothly along the rail (recorded as 2-1-1-5), responding to urging with a solid effort. Seven weeks ago, in a Happy Valley mile race, the performance was poor, settling comfortably tracking the leaders at a steady pace but lacking a finishing kick. Two barrier trials have been completed without showing significant improvement. Switching to Sha Tin over 2000m for its first attempt at this distance, it will carry six pounds less and has drawn an unfavorable outside barrier; however, the longer trip is expected to suit, potentially allowing it to settle in a good position tracking the leaders.
