On June 13th, a turf trial over 1200m at Conghua saw the horse settle in a good position and make progress with urging along the straight, showing improvement. Five weeks prior, this horse delivered a poor performance over a Sha Tin 1600m turf race, tracking the leaders with a steady pace but lacking a finishing kick resulting in a significant defeat. A subsequent barrier trial showed an acceptable effort. Returning to racing at Happy Valley over a mile, the horse will carry one pound less this time but has drawn a poor barrier, presenting a disadvantageous situation, and the trainer-jockey combination isn't ideal. Despite having secured two wins at this distance previously, its times aren’t significantly slower than others in the group, and it possesses the potential to lead early. The jockey appears to have some understanding of the horse’s capabilities but opportunities appear limited.
