Three weeks ago, over a Sha Tin 1400m race, the performance was respectable. The horse settled nicely tracking the leaders with strong momentum, finishing fourth, beaten by only half a length. Now stepping up to a Sha Tin 1800m for the first time, he will carry one pound more this time. This distance should suit him well and drawing a good barrier provides an opportunity to lead. He shows a good finishing kick and appears in favorable form; based on his ability, he is currently the most outstanding contender in this race. Matthew Poon takes the ride, demonstrating understanding of the horse’s temperament with strong communication between jockey and trainer. A clean break should see him push forward for the lead.
