On 9/6, the horse recorded fast times in a turf trial over 1000m at Conghua, responding well to urging. Five weeks ago, it ran poorly in a Happy Valley mile, settling forward but fading badly and finishing far back. A subsequent barrier trial showed slight improvement. Switching to a straight course race for its first attempt at this distance, the horse needs to carry 5 pounds more this time, faces an unsuitable distance, and has drawn a poor barrier. Despite potential tactics of being held up, it is expected to show a decent finishing kick but is considered primarily a trial run.
