On June 30th, the horse completed a dirt trial over 1200m in running positions of 7-7-6, encountering some congestion at the 200m mark and settling back accordingly. Three weeks ago, it ran respectably over a Happy Valley mile, jumping slowly but finishing with a strong late run. It was beaten two lengths and finished fifth. A subsequent barrier trial showed satisfactory condition. Returning to Sha Tin over 1600m this time with a two-pound weight reduction, the horse has yet to record a win in three attempts at this distance, and its group timing wasn’t impressive. Drawing an outside barrier, it is expected to settle back in the field; however, its finishing kick may not be sufficient against stronger rivals. Nevertheless, current form appears promising and a place finish is possible.
