On June 26th, the horse recorded a dirt trial over 1200m in sections of 2-1-2, tracking closely but overtaken near the finish. Four weeks ago, this horse performed poorly over a Happy Valley 1200m race, with a slow jump and settling towards the rear. He maintained a steady pace throughout but lacked a strong finishing kick. A recent barrier trial showed slight improvement. Switching to Sha Tin over 1200m for its debut at this distance, the horse will carry three pounds less weight this time, however the distance is not ideal and it’s expected to have a weak finish. Despite drawing a good barrier, the anticipated tactics are simply to assess its condition.
