Three weeks ago, over this same distance, the horse performed well, jumping slowly and settling towards the rear before making a strong late run in fast sections. This time he needs to carry three pounds more weight. He has previous form over this course and distance with comparable times within his group and has drawn an inside barrier. The plan is to settle towards the back of the field, relying on a strong finishing kick which is a key strength compared to others in the race. The horse appears to be in good shape.
