LOOKING BRIGHT

Four weeks ago, this horse led in a Happy Valley 1200m race but maintained only an even pace with no strong finishing section. He finished eighth, beaten three and a half lengths. Having trialled over Happy Valley’s short course subsequently, he will carry two pounds less this time. Facing similar times in the group and drawing a poor barrier, his chances appear compromised. However, he looks capable of challenging for the lead; a clean jump is crucial to securing an early forward position.
