Maintaining an even pace throughout, he failed to show any finishing kick and returned poorly. Another trial over 1200m at Happy Valley yielded similar results; carrying one pound less this time, his four previous attempts at this distance have all ended in defeat. The section times are unfavorable compared to other horses in the race, and drawing a poor barrier is detrimental. Despite showing some improvement in morning trackwork, he doesn't appear competitive for this contest.
