On August 29th, a turf trial over 1200m in Conghua saw the horse show promise (6-6-5 sections). This is its seasonal debut. A previous barrier trial revealed it struggled to keep pace with the leaders. Another turf trial over 1600m at Sha Tin was conducted; this time with a five-pound weight reduction. The plan for this race is to settle towards the rear, however, the finishing kick wasn’t strong enough compared to its rivals and the horse's positioning isn't ideal. Trainer and jockey weren't well-matched previously, despite comparable times within the stable. Andrea Atzeni has now been booked, gaining some familiarity with the horse's capabilities, though not necessarily a positive for this race.
