On August 29th, in a turf trial at Conghua over 1200m (sections recorded as 3-3-3), the horse travelled tracking the leaders with clear running and accelerated automatically. This is its first run of the season. A previous barrier trial showed only moderate performance. Another dirt trial over 1200m was completed, and this time it will carry a four-pound weight reduction. Despite having secured two wins over this distance previously, it has drawn an inside barrier and the plan is to settle towards the rear. Its finishing kick was considered good in the trial, giving a favourable racing shape. The jockey appears to have some understanding of the horse’s capabilities, with positive work reports, but its time difference compared to other horses in the group is concerning; trainer-jockey communication isn't optimal and it may start slowly.
