On 9/9 (dirt trial 1200m: 8-8-6), the horse broke slowly and settled at the rear, tracking the field on the straight. On 29/8 (dirt trial 1200m: 9-9-10) it was deliberately held back, running with a tight rein on the straight. On 13/5 (Conghua turf trial 1200m: 5-5-10), the horse faded rapidly in the final section and slowed noticeably early. On 24/3 (Conghua turf trial 1000m: 5-5-5) it remained at the rear throughout, posing little threat. On 10/1 (Happy Valley turf trial 1200m: 5-5-5), a nudge was required after 200m with an unassuming pace. Returning from a long break, this is its first run of the season. Five trials have been undertaken without showing significant promise. It carries just one pound more this time and has previous form over this distance. The overall trial times were reasonable compared to its group, and drawing a good barrier positions it for a hold-up strategy. Finishing kick appears decent; current condition is favorable with trainer/jockey synergy."
