Three weeks ago, this horse performed well in a straight course race, jumping slowly but settling back in the field before showing a strong late run to finish second, beaten by half a length. Now stepping up to Sha Tin over 1200m for its debut on turf, it carries only a three-pound weight increase this time. The distance should suit and is expected to race from behind with a powerful finishing kick, the strongest in its class. With an advantageous barrier draw and Matthew Poon taking the ride – a jockey who knows the horse well – the horse is showing positive signs and looks like a good each-way contender.
