FIT FOR BEAUTY

On September 23rd (dirt trial 1200m: 2-2-4), the early pace was moderate. Three weeks ago, over a Sha Tin mile, the performance was reasonable despite a slow start and settling towards the rear. He made progress in the middle stages, finishing well but beaten two and a half lengths for fifth place. A recent barrier trial showed acceptable form. This will be his first attempt at 1400m on turf; this time carrying a three-pound weight reduction. Although suited to this distance and capable of settling in a good position tracking the leaders, drawing an outside barrier is not ideal, with hopes focused on a solid performance.
