On October 10th, a turf trial over 1200m at Conghua saw the horse lead with the fastest early speed before being eased back. Five weeks ago in a similar race, performance was poor, tracking the leaders but failing to show any finishing kick and finishing well-beaten. A recent barrier trial didn’t reveal much improvement. The horse has dropped 24 pounds in weight but will carry an additional four pounds this time. The section times of its group weren't impressive, making the situation less favorable; however, it boasts six wins from 34 starts over this distance and drawing a good barrier offers opportunities. A clean jump is crucial for attempting to lead.
