GOLDEN BRILLIANT

On October 10th, a turf trial over 1600m at Conghua saw the horse urged forward from an outside barrier, making gradual progress (sections recorded as 6-6-7-3). On September 26th, another turf trial over 1200m at Conghua resulted in a fading performance with no significant threat (sections 5-7-8). Returning after a long spell, this is the horse’s seasonal debut. Two barrier trials have been undertaken but appear insufficient preparation. This will be its first attempt at Happy Valley over 1200m; carrying a six-pound weight reduction despite an unfavorable barrier draw and unsuitable distance, it's expected to settle back in the field, though showing promising finishing speed in trials, appears adequately prepared as a trial run.
