Three weeks ago, this horse delivered a poor performance over a Sha Tin 1600m turf race, slow to jump and settling at the rear. He made an effort in the middle stages but faded badly and finished well-beaten. Returning to Happy Valley over a mile last start, he benefits from a two-pound weight reduction this time but showed a weak finishing kick. Despite having some form over this distance and comparable times with rivals, he could only maintain a good position tracking the leaders. Drawing a favorable barrier, however, doesn't suggest any clear strategy for success.
