On March 13th, a barrier trial over Happy Valley's 1200m saw the horse settle comfortably in midfield early, then quicken nicely over the final 200m. Four weeks ago, in a Sha Tin mile race, it delivered a strong performance despite a slow start and settling towards the rear. A good late surge saw it finish fourth, beaten by only a length and a half – demonstrating a high level of ability. Recent trial form has been acceptable. Returning to Happy Valley for its debut over a mile, this time the horse will carry one pound more. It has recorded two wins at this distance previously and clocked respectable times in its group. Drawing a reasonable barrier, it is expected to race from behind and utilize its finishing kick. This horse holds a clear advantage in terms of overall ability compared to the competition, with good synergy between horse, jockey and trainer. A forward finish is anticipated.
