On March 13th, this horse recorded a strong turf trial over 1700m at Happy Valley (1-1-1-2), showing both early pace and the ability to settle. It was slightly overtaken at the finish. Four weeks ago, it ran poorly over a Sha Tin mile, settling in mid-division tracking the leaders with good early speed but fading noticeably. A subsequent barrier trial showed some improvement. This will be its debut over a Happy Valley mile, carrying a one-pound deduction. The distance is unfavourable and the barrier draw isn’t ideal. While it has potential for an early lead, connections are viewing this as a trial run despite the favourable barrier.
