Two weeks ago, a dirt trial over 1200m at Conghua saw the horse tracking from behind with an easy demeanor. Three weeks prior, over the same distance, it ran a respectable race despite a slow start and settling towards the rear. A good late run saw it finish seven lengths off the winner. A recent barrier trial was satisfactory. This time, benefiting from a one-pound weight reduction, the horse has failed to perform in three attempts over this distance and faces unfavorable conditions. Despite a competitive section time relative to its peers, drawing a good barrier will likely necessitate a hold-up strategy. Though possessing a decent finishing kick, it's not considered a strong contender in this race.
