Three weeks ago, this horse ran a respectable race over a Happy Valley sprint distance, jumping slowly and settling towards the rear. He showed a strong late run but was beaten three and a half lengths, finishing eighth. A subsequent trial over Happy Valley 1200m sees the horse receive a two-pound weight reduction for this race. While the trial times weren’t exceptional, the barrier draw is favorable. The horse will likely be held up and needs to produce a strong finishing kick; preparation appears solid, though connections are not overly confident.
