Fourteen days ago in a race over the same distance, this horse performed very well, jumping slowly and settling towards the back of the field with a consistent pace. He made steady progress in the final stages to finish third, beaten by one and a half lengths. This time benefiting from a four-pound weight reduction, having previously recorded two wins over this course and distance with acceptable time figures. An advantageous barrier draw was secured, although the current racing pattern may require a hold-up strategy. Finishing speed might not match rivals and trainer/jockey combination hasn't shown significant synergy, but the horse remains a contender.
