Three weeks ago, over the same distance, the horse performed reasonably well despite a slow start, settling towards the back of the field. He was beaten three and a half lengths. The positioning was unfavorable with a poor draw, requiring him to race from behind and lacking the finishing kick of his opponents. Jockey-trainer communication wasn’t optimal, however, he has recorded three wins from sixteen starts over this course and distance with respectable times, making him a contender.
