Six weeks ago, this horse ran poorly over a Sha Tin mile, leading but fading at the finish for a well-beaten result. One barrier trial was undertaken, showing insufficient progress. Dropping in class now, switching to a dirt mile and debuting over this distance. He will carry 14 extra pounds this time out, with the distance potentially unsuitable and a slightly weak finishing kick. Trainer/jockey combination isn’t particularly strong, though he possesses early speed potential and has an acceptable barrier position but is not considered a top pick for this race.
