Fourteen days ago, this horse ran very well over a Happy Valley mile, settling in a good position tracking the leaders and finishing fourth, beaten only half a length. This indicated a high level of performance. Switching to dirt over a mile, it was his first attempt at this distance which didn't suit him, with similar times within the group and a poor barrier draw. The finishing kick was slightly lacking and trainer-jockey combination wasn’t ideal; not favored for this race.
