Three weeks ago, this horse performed very poorly in a dirt mile, settling in a good position tracking the leaders with an even pace throughout, showing a mediocre run. Fortunately, he wasn't too far behind and only lost by three and a half lengths. In his subsequent outing, he ran over 1800m on dirt and performed creditably. His time in the group was reasonable, he drew an advantageous barrier position, and he maintained a good stalking position. He ranks among the top-rated horses for this race, but he must carry an extra 11 pounds in this contest, his late kick is slightly inferior, and the connection between jockey and trainer isn't particularly harmonious; he remains in contention for a win.
