(Dirt trial 1200m on 9/4: starting slowly, accelerating at the two-hundred mark with moderate changes in pace). Seven weeks ago, this horse performed very poorly over 1400m on Sha Tin turf; it was slow to jump out, tracked from the rear with an even pace throughout, showing lackluster form. A recent trial showed no improvement. Changing to Happy Valley turf over a mile for the first time at this trip, it did not suit the distance. In its previous race, it was outpaced by others in the same group and at a different time, putting it in an unfavorable position. However, its finishing kick was superior to others in the field, and the synergy between the jockey's style and the horse's ability seemed natural.
