SPARKLING FELLOW

Two months ago, in a straight-up race, the horse performed poorly. He was slow out of the gate and settled towards the rear, maintaining a steady pace throughout, only recovering some ground in the closing stages. In a recent Happy Valley short-distance run, the conditions were not favorable, and the jockey/trainer combination was not ideal. However, when competing from behind, his finishing kick was the most powerful in his field, and his timing was acceptable; he should not be overlooked.
