GIMME FIVE

On April 24th, in a dirt trial over 1200m (running positions: 1-1-2), the horse settled near the rail and took a strong run to finish second with composure. Two months ago, in a Happy Valley 1200m race, the performance was disappointing; he tracked the pace from a good position but showed weakening momentum in the final stages, resulting in a heavy defeat. A recent trial showed slight improvement. In this race, running on Sha Tin turf over 1200m with an additional eighteen pounds to carry, his time was not standout, and the circumstances were unfavorable; his closing speed was somewhat inferior, and the jockey-trainer coordination wasn't ideal. Fortunately, the recent training runs have been decent, but he is not selected for this race.
