(27/4 Sha Tin turf trial 1200m: 7-7-6) A test for the jockey, beaten narrowly. Five weeks ago in a similar race, he performed well, though his start was slow and he settled towards the rear. He ran steadily throughout, gradually regaining ground in the finishing stages; fortunately, he was close enough to only finish three and a half lengths behind. This trial was not sufficient. The prospects are slightly unfavorable, and the jockey-trainer combination is not optimal; however, in a pace battle from the rear, his finishing kick was the sharpest in the field. Having won four out of twenty-six races, he must be watched closely.
