(Dirt trial 1200m on 30/4: running positions 9-8-8) Showed a straight run and chased with power, (Dirt trial 1200m on 16/4: running positions 3-4-5) Handled the straight section easily, stretching out fully. Five weeks ago, he performed reasonably well over 1400m on Sha Tin turf; he was slow coming out of the gate and tracked from behind, but fortunately stayed close enough to finish only three and a half lengths behind. After two recent barrier trials, there has been no noticeable improvement. He ran over a mile on Happy Valley turf and in this race, he has a six-pound allowance. He has proven ability over this distance, his time figures are among the best in his group, and he draws an advantageous barrier. Based on overall assessment, he ranks highly in this race, and the jockey-horse combination is satisfactory. With thorough preparation at the pre-race phase, even if his position is not ideal or his finishing kick is slightly lacking, he remains a contender for place.
