On 8/5, it performed well in a Happy Valley 1200m barrier trial (dirt: 8-7-5), taking an inside draw on the straight and showing strong closing speed. Two months ago, it delivered a standout performance over 1400m on Sha Tin turf. Although slow to leave the gate and settled towards the rear, its pace was consistent throughout, gradually regaining ground in the final stages to secure second place. It was not far off, losing only half a length, indicating high class. A subsequent trial showed no improvement. In another Sha Tin 1200m trial, it performed creditably, with a competitive time. The draw was decent, and while it needed to track from the rear, its finishing kick in this group is arguably the strongest. Based on expert ratings, it is considered one of the top contenders in this race. The jockey is familiar with the horse, and the training partnership is satisfactory; it should be a key contender.
